If your loved one is living with dementia or Alzheimer’s and has traditional Medicare Part A and Part B, the Medicare GUIDE program may cover up to 70 hours of in-home care.

Who the program is for

Medicare decides who qualifies. In general, the GUIDE program is for people who:

  1. Are living with dementia

    A diagnosis of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

  2. Have traditional Medicare

    Medicare Part A and Part B, rather than a Medicare Advantage plan.

  3. Live at home

    Care comes to your loved one at home, with family helping day to day.

What the 70 hours can look like

Non-medical care at home from a trained caregiver, so the person who usually provides care can take a break.
